More than 30 lakh students are still waiting to find out their exam results because certain board exams are nearing the end of their terms. In terms of class 10, second term exams have come to a close while examination periods for class 12s will continue until June 15. As a noteworthy step this year, the CBSE has decided to combine both the Results for Term 1 and Term 2 into one final result for each Board.
The results for 1 have already been declared. Now, the board will directly release the final results. CBSE stated that it would announce the results towards the end of June or at some point during July’s first week. Without sharing specific dates, the board said they were trying to get the news out as fast as possible. Given the trend in previous years, CBSE announced class 12 results ahead of class 10 to begin with college admissions.
This year, the board will announce results based on several factors. However, it is not clear exactly how significant each of these factors may be when it comes down to making a decision. In fact students are demanding that scores should be based on the best of whichever term’s result you decide to take into account because they believe that there should be weighted or priority given to internal assessment. Further, there is pressure being put on the government which makes this even more controversial because nobody seems to be able to decide whether high weightage should be given to an internal assessment or final term marks. As per rules and regulations, the three parameters -These parameters are internal assessment, term 1 result, term 2 result.
