The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Mohali declared 0n 2 June that 98.25% of students have passed the Class 8 examination. The overall mark was 99.88% which was a slight drop from last year. 9 students have scored full marks and are ranked as 1st in their school or area and are called ‘class toppers’.
There were a total of 31,890 candidates out of 3,07,272 who registered for class 8th Punjab board regular mode whose test scores placed them within the 90-100 percentile of their respective school.
The Punjab Board claims that there are a large number of students on their merit list who have secured 90+ percent. The top-ranking student has obtained 100% even the second and third-ranking students have obtained 99.99 %
